Abstract: The article focuses on the global cultural transformations associated with the emergence of metaculture. The authors argue that the imperatives of the social system and the symbolic world of culture, the behavioural patterns, the core value orientations, and the strategies of self-identification are undergoing transformations. The epochality of the change taking place lies in the fact that, due to the Humanities and the Social Sciences, nearly all aspects of culture have been objectified, and a person is now in an external position in relation to it. Giving evidence from the personal observations and the research done by the scholars drawing attention to the transition of the humanity into the realm of the Culture of cultures, the authors specify, summarise, and make additions to the formulas of metaculture by stating and exemplifying the fact that any attempt to describe the contemporaneity as meta-modernist is untenable, because it is retrospective, and nothing modernist is inherent to it. In the article, metaculture is defined as a realm of all-unity and all-difference of the world cultural heritage, that is mastered through the act of a person’s creative self-actualisation, and the authors сall on the scholars to further research and discuss the metacultural transformations of the contemporary world.
