(2025) Rediscovering Practical AestheticsAbstract: The article raises the question of what features of practical aesthetics can be distinguished and how it is related to contemporary culture. Theoretical aesthetics was sometimes presented as something separate from cultural processes, as something existing and developing independently. Practical aesthetics, in all its diversity of contemporary approaches, is built on the close interaction of aesthetic issues and contemporary culture, and this interaction strengthens both sides. Practical aesthetics is interpreted as a general concept that includes various trends in practical aesthetics proper, applied aesthetics, experimental and pragmatic aesthetics, which share a common distrust of aesthetics as an exclusively theoretical field. It is also argued that practical aesthetics is characterized by interference with the existing order of structuring the aesthetic field.
