The Apparatus of the Affect of Immersive Environments in the Theory of Contemporary CultureAbstract: The article introduces the concept of "affect apparatus", which assumes a unique relationship between the receptive agent's body and the environment perceived by it in the context of a multisensory turn in culture. The concept under consideration is based on B. Massumi's theory of affect, which allows us to talk about certain functions, levels and mechanisms of affective perception in cultural practices. Consideration of the theory of new materialism by K. Barad makes it possible to talk about the "apparatus" as a broader performative practice, the purpose of which is the differentiation of the submerged environment and the agent's body, as well as gaining the significance of certain observed and experienced phenomena. The additional introduction of such concepts as "dispositif" and "machine" into the apparatus theory allows structuring the mechanisms of the formation of the agent's vitality, the cultural environment and filling it with new significance and meanings.
