Abstract: The need to consider social reality and the education system through the prism of transversal and paradigmatic approaches is linked to the need for the expert community to develop a holistic picture of the world, combining various methodological approaches in the study and design of sociocultural and educational processes. This is reflected in the nature of dialogue, the building of relationships between educational actors and the organization of interaction and work. The topic stated in the article and the specifics of the approach implemented in the study require a consistent clarification of key concepts as "transversality," "paradigm," "educational paradigm," "paradigmatic approach," "transversal approach," "transversal rationality," "expert thinking," "expert analytics," "post-material values," etc. They address the chaotically evolving value universe of today's younger generation, which requires rational and ethically correct orientation and order. The transversal and paradigmatic approaches share a number of common methodological features, but also a number of fundamental differences, the identification of which in reality requires the theoretical development of criteria for rational expertise.
